Chi Nei Tsang: What is it and what are the benefits?
Chi Nei Tsang (also called CNT) is an abdominal massage and a healing system that originated in ancient China by the Tao monks (and more recently, refined by Mantak Chia).
It blends Chinese and Thai massage with meditation techniques, making it significantly different from any other healing modality.
CNT means working the energy of the internal organs and is a form of a detoxifying, energizing, abdominal massage. This a practice that gently, but deeply, works and stimulates the internal organs on all levels – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – to make them work more efficiently and to heal unprocessed, negative emotions that the individual may have repressed during their life.
CNT corrects the energy flow of essential systems in the body: cardiovascular, nervous, digestive, respiratory, and lymphatic. It releases blockages and stagnations in the abdomen and moves the energy throughout the body.
CNT begins with a dialogue between you and me.
I will ask you about your health history and any current/existing
health issues you wish to treat during the session.
Any information you can provide me about your body will be helpful,
even if you don’t fully understand how each part connects to the other.
You will be asked to undress your upper body; the chest area
will be covered with a towel, while the lower parts (legs)
will be covered with a towel.

What is Taoism?
Taoism, pronounced Dow-ism, is an ancient Chinese philosophy/religion. It is said to be based on the writings of Lao-tzu, a 6th-century philosopher.
Taoists believe great wisdom and happiness are derived from being in harmony with the universe, and from an empty mind and stillness.
Taoist ideas are rooted in protecting and respecting nature; there is an emphasis on the harmony between humans and the environment.
At the root of Taoism is the symbol yin-yang. The yin and yang represent life’s opposing forces: light and dark, hot and cold, masculine and feminine, the sun and the moon.
The small circles within the yin-yang symbol are designed to show that each half contains parts of the other; they are inseparable and also interconnected.
The idea is that even though the world is made up of opposites, one is not better than the other – instead, they coexist.
